The completed and strung violin made in 2017

Over the course of approximately a year, using a towel folded in half at the foot of my bed for the majority of the workshop and moving twice throughout the process, I built a mandola inspired guitar from scratch. This is the first serious woodworking project I undertook, and having never played the guitar or held one long enough to understand many things I learned through trial and error, the result is an acoustically functional instrument. The goal of the project was to replace the void of music left after 16 years of symphonic, jazz, and swing percussion became difficult to continue with the space constraints of apartment life.
