Collaborations
Work made in collaboration with brothers in the craft. For together, we inspire, encourage, and bring forth ideas and passion which lie beyond any one of us alone.
The Spear of Oromë
The Tolkienian spear of Oromë, Huntsman of the Valar forged by myself and Dave DelaGardelle of Cedarlore Forge.
The blade is forged from a core of meteorite and wrought iron and edge of L6/15n20.
Pattern Welded Spear
A composite, pattern welded spear forged primarily between my good friends Dave DelaGardelle and Robert Burns, with a little in the core by myself and Pete Braspennix.
The core and socket are forged from the axle of an old farming apparatus we excavated from the forest, originally hoped to be wrought iron but in reality a plain carbon steel. The inner, brighter layer is pattern welded wrought iron and pure nickel, while the outer is alternating high carbon (1095) nickel (15n20) steels. Both pattern welded billets were done in a ‘jelly roll’ pattern where the straight laminate is forged into a sheet and then curled around itself before being forged back into a bar.
This is one of two spears made in 2015 at Dave’s old workshop, the process seen here:

Wolf's Teeth
An experimental examination of the historic Wolf’s Tooth pattern over a weekend with Emiliano Carrillo and Luke Shearer, attempting to recreate the technique through artefact analysis. This is one of the test blades that resulted from the trials, and for a comprehensive look, please see:

Copper Dagger
Work hardened copper dagger forged from solid copper, in collaboration with Dave DelaGardelle, Nate Runals, and Luke Shearer.
Post Malone's Sword
Sword forged for Post Malone on behalf of the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL as a collaboration between myself and Dave DelaGardelle of Cedarlore Forge, Luke Shearer, Collin Miller, and Ryan Stephens. We had an extremely tight deadline so it was forged collectively in Texas, Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio in the span of only about two weeks. I prepared and welded the steel for the blade, drew it out into the rough shape, and forged the wrought iron guard.
